Now the summer is here, in the mountain landscape of Standaleidet, Ørsta, Norway. On the highest tops you can look around to the most beautiful mountain tags and all the way out to the ocean. You can walk into the valley, fishing in the lakes, take a shower under the waterfall, drink fresh water from the river, pick blueberry along your path, take a rest in the moss and enjoy the life. Beautiful at Standaleidet today. The golden gleam played on the lake, and the mountains covered by a carpet of colours. The tops are still in white, also some avalanches down into the most shadow velleys. The cabines Alpehytta and Geithornhytta are ready for new guests at the weekend. My way back at home I travel along the beautiful Hjørundfjord and I met goats on my way,

Now the winter landscape has gone away, and the mountain sides are dressed in green, but on the tops the snow still lighten up against the blue sky. The summar came suddenly, jumped over the spring. But the Alpehytta and Geithornhytta are popular also in the summer. I and my dauhter and grandchild have already take a bath in the lake under the glacier; fresh and cold, but warm after. Framleis masse snø på Standaleidet, og framleis kjem skigrupper frå Østerrike, Tyskland, Frankrike og Italia o.a., landar på Hovden eller Vigra, og med leigebil når dei Alpehytta og Geithornhytta på få minutt frå Hovden og under 2 timar frå Vigra.Får berre gode tilbakemeldingar, her trivest dei, og dei vil gjerne kome tilbake. Trolla på Alpehytta og Geithornhytta sprakk ikkje då dei kom ut i sola, dei ønskjer tyske skituristar velkommen i dag. Hyttene vaska og reingjort og sola skin frå skyfri himmel. Sunnmørsalpane viser seg frå si beste side. Parkeringsplassen ved vegen er full av alpinistar som trakkar seg oppover til Fingeren, Kolåstinden, Sylvkallen, Fladdalen m.m. Og trakkemaskinen har lagt opp løyper for oss som likar å gå "bortoverski". Fullt belegg i mars og april. Booking på gang, spesielt mars og april er populære månader. Enno ledig utover i februar. Enno mykje snø i fjellet. I lavlandet melder våren så smått sin ankomst.

Alpehytta og Geithorn 2. november 2017. I går var landskapet dekt av snø. I dag mildt og fint.

Vakkert i fjellheimen no. Haustfargane kryp oppetter lia og legg seg som ei fargesprakande ramme rundt blåbivrande vatn og kvite fossefall. Og tytebæra glir enno lett gjennom fingrane, også blåbæra høgt til fjells. Buskapen har kome på heimebåsen, kjenner saknet etter bjelleklangen, men lukta av beitande dyr sit enno att i landskapet. Ein og annan hjortekalv har måtte bøte med livet, men det og høyrer med i naturens gang. Vil du nyte denne roa, denne prakta, så har vi framleis ledige hytter i september og oktober.
